Jyn Erso is a central figure in the Star Wars universe, specifically within the film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016). She is a resourceful and skilled survivor who becomes a pivotal leader in the Rebel Alliance.
Orphaned at a young age, Jyn's father, Galen Erso, was forcibly recruited by the Empire to design the Death Star. Raised in part by Saw Gerrera, a Rebel extremist, Jyn developed a hardened demeanor and survival skills that would later serve her well.
Her critical role emerges when she is tasked by the Rebel Alliance to retrieve a message from her father.
